I'm Quincy, a web developer. I build web experiences that feel right to the people using them.

I grew up in Hunan province, in south-central China — home to Wulingyuan National Park, whose soaring sandstone columns inspired the floating mountains in Avatar. It's the kind of place that quietly shapes how you see the world.

My path to web development wasn't a straight line. During undergrad, I built a robot for a class project. The hardware was interesting enough, but what I kept coming back to was the interface — that surface where a person and a machine actually meet. I cared far more about that moment than the machine itself. Web development followed naturally: a field where the interface is the whole product, and where genuinely caring about the user makes all the difference.

AI is rewriting how we build for the web, especially on the frontend. I'm not anxious about it — I'm excited. It means I can move faster, iterate more freely, and deliver thoughtful, usable products at a pace that would have been hard to imagine just a few years ago. The craft still matters; we just get to do more of it now.
